unfortunatly your tank will eventually be too small for your CLs but they will be ok for a while, and those Bala's are tiny

Hi,

I have one LARGE clown loach in with polyterus, but I need another nice one or two to go with him

I would say get rid of the sharks, or upgrade to a HUGE tank.

The Plec should be ok, as I think its a Bristle nose and will only grow to about 5-6"

Sorry to disappoint you but a bristlenose isn't suitable for a 15g tank I'm not sure why Studs recommended an L001 either as these can exceed 10".

The good news is though that a bristlenose is a good smaller plec to have, and they only need a 30g tank if you can upgrade (with good filtration obviously like all other plecs). Good job he didn't turn out to be an L001

erm... yeah I booched on the L001 there lol, but a 30gal seems over kill for a BN.
As long you have decent filtration I cant see why a BN cant go in a 15gal.

Any way I do believe CL22 is going to up grade her tank anyway, so she can keep her Bala Sharks

which tbh is the way I would have gone as I hate taking fish back. had to do it when I bought a black shark as I got confused when I bought it as to what size it grew to. lol it soon attained nearly 7" hehe so I sold it to the not-so-lfs I go to. as they grow to about 2'
