About Walmart Fish....

Why is it especially kids under 12?! I have seen some very knowledgable kids 12 and under, and some very unknowledgable grown ups, age has nothing to do with it!

He clearly said: especially kids under 12 without any fish keeping education

And as for 12-15 year olds; it's fair to say that in general (again, there are exceptions) they aren't as smart as the average adult. Get used to it, it's just a fact.

Exactly, I'm 10 and I know more than my dad who has been keeping fish since he was a kid. He said so himself.

I strongly think those 12 cent fishes survive less than 72 hours after leaving Walmart .... beginners (especially kids under 12 without any fish keeping education) start off with these fishes ... They kill them as fast as they can and then force their parents to come back and buy some more (it is really odd to claim refund for 60 cents) ... I think that is the Walmart's secret of selling those fishes very fast !!

 Why is it especially kids under 12?! I have seen some very knowledgable kids 12 and under, and some very unknowledgable grown ups, age has nothing to do with it!

That reminded me one day I was at one of the fish stores at. The child must have been around six or seven....and he knew how to cycle a tank...I was blown away.

None of the walmarts around me have fish.

Ugh, I was at a Walmart Super Store today looking for random supplies (bleach, bucket, vintager) and I passed by the fish section to see if they sold any ammonia (didn't know it was a cleaning agent). Anyhow, as I was walking by, there were kids counting the dead fish. As I looked into the tanks, there were dead fish. Some were stuck against the filter intake, probably died from the inability to get away from the suction. It's sickening.

Wal-mart is a very terrible store. but i feel that alot of people seriously nit pick on them. EVERY fish store has some type of sad situation going on. I would guss that most people that bash fish stores have never worked in one them selves. Also, you cant just blame Wal-mart. The whole sale people are just as bad if not worst. Trust me, I see it every day.

most chain stores are terrible. some LFS are so terrible. just gotta find the right store that you can trust. im only 16 and iv been raising fish for over 6 years. i used to have no clue about stuff until i bought my gourami or at least until i learned from my friends business.

I just realized how terrible my lfs really is. I was looking in the marine section and I found a Lunare wrasse in a tank hardly bigger than itself
