So those that saw my earlier thred, will know I went to try and get some cheap rock from a shop closing down, which was a massive fail!!! I really didn't wanna come home with nothing, so on my way home I stopped off at my usual shop and now, my tank looks like...

£220 quid lighter, that I didn't really have, but.... I now have 44kg of LR which means I can start thinking about stocking more seriously!!!!!

yeah, 9.50 a kg! I got fed up with waiting tho, and ive always had reall good hitchhikers from this rock! ive got 5 i think? red hermit crabs, peppermint shrimp and allsorts from this rock in the past!

A very productive few hours! All GHA removed from rocks and sand, fluval dug out of cupboard and setup, and all LR purchased! Now, start choosing fishies!!!!!!

Wow, just realised it was only just over 3 months ago I started this... never expected to get this far so quickly!!!

I have no idea where to start with a scape, ive had a few attempts,. then realise ive got some stupid oddly shaped rocks left over that I cant place anywhere, so they're all just 'chucked' in again atm! Got some pics tho

No idea what this is, but it looks pretty.. any one know?

Is that blue, inside the rock - if so, its bluestone

The bubbles,a re bubble algae, your emerald will eat it, but might take a while to find it they are not the cleverest!

Yeah the blue is inside.. around the outside of it its a pinky colour. Looks really pretty!

I can collect up all the chaeto and put it in my fluval, cant I? Thers clumps of it everywhere!

Wish I'd looked for more of the blue stuff now, I just stuck with the one bit incase it was something bad lol.. It has pride of place right at the front of the tank tho

it needs light......., you could collect it altogether and put it in fish breeder or the like

Chaeto needs light to grow! SO not good in the fluval! I had a big clump of it and when I was away from the tank they didnt put the sump light on and it is now only 1/4 of its original size!
