A New Betta Fad....

All those pups' eyes look gunky and they look so lifeless, not a normal healthy puppy AT ALL. Those are classic signs of pups kept in little filthy cages day in and day out, probably taken from their mothers too young too. They might just get them that way from whatever mill they get the pups from, I couldn't discern whether they were the mill themselves or if they purchased from other mills by their website, but either way it's despicable and shows an utter and complete disregard for animal health and compassion for their well being. They care about nothing but the $$. I think it's pretty safe to assume their fish are treated like decorations and novelty items, not a living creature with survival needs. If I walked in a place like that I think I would find it nearly impossible not to blow up...

It somehow strikes me worse even than Wal-Mart, because in this case, the pets are their entire business.

Yay, BettaMomma, you found the place! I haven't been able to get on the computer or get over there, but that sounds like the place!

I'll try to get over there as soon as I can. My dad started a new job downtown so I haven't been able to get a ride there with him, so hopefully this weekend he'll be able to drive me down there. I'll just tell him they had some stuff for the fish tank I wanted to see. (Like I'd buy anything there!)

The hamsters and most of the small animals there were in horrible condition, I couldn't get close enough to the cage because of the smell. The hamsters were moving around a little, most were sleeping since they're nocternal and it was the middle of the afternoon.

I'll try to get over there ASAP, my mom *might* be willing to take me, since I told her what they had there and she was disgusted, too. (And she isn't the biggest animal lover and thinks they're 'just fish')
