A New Betta Fad....

BM, I'm thinking of getting Photoshop creative, since grandfather won't give me the tutorial book to do animations now..

"The Official Betta Rescue Club."

...anyone who rescues a betta gets to use it.

And anyone who makes an effort to improve their conditions gets to use it.
...I'm procrastinating on studying for exams, can you tell?

Although i'm not in favor of taking you away from your studies....
I'd LOVE to see a betta rescue club logo of some sort.
I'm even willing to use some of my webspace and (since i'm a web applications developer) I can put together a website to go with it!

Most places i've been to in the uk have been alright, the first betta i had died the following day

Im going to have to resist going to my lfs on payday otherwise ill come home with half a dozen bettas and half a dozen tanks

I bought my black miniature schnauzer at a Puppy Palace in Miami, they didn't sell fish, only dogs. Yet the dogs all looked sick and ill. I remember wanting to take all of the dogs home, I was like 7.

I wish I could go in and scout it out myself. My mom and stepfather live near the Chicago area but they are usually on the road (truck drivers, own their own business) so they hardly get to Chicago at all. From the things we've heard so far, their website, and how people have been treated on the phone, this place is suspicious to me for going against regulations in the treatment of animals...

I should call back there and pretend that I'm interested in getting a puppy or kitty, and see how they treat me... and what they need to know before getting one of them - see if they'll tell me where they get them from..

Doesn't it kinda look like he is missing its hair along that raised leg? I bet those pups have all kinds of horrible afflictions...

Not trying to get off-topic, but they don't show any of their fish products.. This is all I have to go off of and seeing this, I can hardly bear to imagine how their fish are kept too...

Ask them the minimum cage size for, say, a hamster. IMO, anything under about 1ftx2ft is undersized. I have a hamster in a 1x2ft cage, and its tiny for a hamster. Yes, it is hypocritical, but we had to adopt our uncles hamster that he couldn't look after anymore, and that was the only thing we could spare due to space, money etc. Although I've swapped her with a less active hamster now.

No, you guys - it's not really off topic.
The jist of this topic was to figure out what this store is, and we did that now.
And I want to know more about how they treat other animals too, which will in turn tell me how they probably treat their fish.
