i like the scobina too, i don't dislike any rays, i like rays! just some are obviously more colourful / better looking than others. i would be happy with any, but i aint paying £2750 for 2 p14's so scobina it is lol, if i can get a grand soon!

thouht as much, must have been the grey retics neil at pier was on about getting to 12".
looking into these scobina anyway now.
he lives near london so his water will be hard, how would they cope with going from around 7.5 to ph 6.5? will they be ok as long as i do it gradually? ph 6.5 is better for them anyway isn't it?

if there is a big ph difference i would drip the rays for a few hours
put them in and turn the lights off :good:

alex lives in richmond if memory serves
you will get a look at his pair of p14 while your there

yes bae thats the ones, that guy is from the fish shop in Worcestershire, he is selling them for the guy i got the tank off, notice it still says 'tank sold?' a question mark lol, yet it is sat in my dining room! the guy himself says he has been offered £1000 for them and said because he wanted them to stay with the tank. the guy at the shop, well if he sells them, he wants 50% of the money, thats why he wants £2000 for them. he also had 3 rays in the tank (retics) one of which is preggers, he said i could have them cheap, but because i needed the tank to mature again i couldn't take them there and then.

yes cane that sounds about right, im gonna email him in a bit, because im at uni cash is hard to come by! im gonna see if he will take £250 deposit at the end of the month to keep them another few weeks while i get the rest of the cash! you think they are well worth a grand?
yes will be looking at his other fish!
drip them? whats the best way of going about this? sit the rays on the floor, in a container obviously, and siphon with a small tube and let it drip? i would clip the end of the pipe so it dripped. and then as it fills take water out until it is the same ph?
i will do a deal with him for any future p14 pups that may arrive! i really want them! haha, another line on my want list.
oh yeah if you see or hear of any nice tiger fish up for grabs will you give me a shout? either pulcher, or campbelli as a substitute.

cheers,
Dave

what you meen? do i know the final stocking?
if so, hopefully it will be;
1 super red arowana,
a pair of potamotrygon scobina,
1 datnioides pulcher / campbelli
1 zebra shovelnose catfish
i might keep a group of pink tailed characins in there too but just gathering info on them being suitable with the above fish.

Dave
