You've got a lot to learn before you think about breding, betta_love. Start acting mature, and stop with the breeding idea. You aren't ready for it, and it is BETTA ABUSE. Do you know what Betta Abuse is? It is when owners like YOU do the worst thing possible for their fish and end up making them extremely unhappy because you want to look cool.
Well, you don't.
We don't really like you, but we care about what happens to those poor fish you bought. They would be, at this point, better off in walmart, as you don't know Jack about how to care for them. You'll condition the ladies, get them eggbound, and give them slow painful deaths just so you think you look cool.
Yea, thats definitely mature enough to handle the responsibility of breeding..

Well, obviously you feel very differently than most of us about our fish and life in general. School is starting back before ya know it.nibbles said:if all the fry die so what.. i really dont think he has too much going on.. its summer time.. which means no school..

rainforest spectrum is pretty good, in fact they have offered to take all my crowntail spawn as they come of age. i have given them stock before but it's only been a plakat or two, a couple of super delta and some of the larger crowntails from current spawn. i'm not sure if he has any up for sale yet though. none of the veil tails are mine as i don't breed them and i haven't given him any females.betta_lova said:W.E I already have added some aquarium salt to the tank and some parasite guard and some melafix in there she's in a 5g by herself and if she doesn't get well I'm gonna trade her in and she's prettyBeccaBlain said:Seriously, Betta_love, if you want anyone to even begin to respect or like you on this forum, you will need to start being more responsible about how you select and care for fish. You've shown a lot of immaturity on this subject by asking advice and ignoring everything, as well as doing the exact wrong things for your Bettas.
Having the money to go out and do breeding is fine and all, but it does not mean it is the right course of action.
Now, what to do about your sick female: Do you have medications at your place? Particularly a fungus and bacterial medicine that "plays nice" together? (Such as Jungles Fungus Eliminator and Parasite Guard?) If not, you need to find out if the "sore" is bacteria based or fungus based, and treat accordingly.
Also, pick up some AQUARIUM SALT (Repeat, in bold, aquarium salt) and add the recommended dosage to help that section heal. Without more information, it is extremely touch and go. Do not be surprised if your fish dies because you do not seem to be willing or capable of providing the proper care, as you are more concerned with hopping onto the "breeding bandwagon".
Breeding is not for beginners. Period.
(When you have kept fish for at least half of the number of years that you have been alive and haven't had much trouble, THEN you could consider breeding.)
Now, are you going to listen this time, or just piss off the entirety of the forums, again?
Nibbles: I got her at this shop called Rainforest Spectrum
Just reading that breaks my heart. Ya know, I have newborn fry hatching right now and just looking at them melts my heart.
