55 Gallon

Darn, I just saw this 55 gallon tank for sale on craigslist for $30!

It was posted up there two days ago!

So I called the guy up and he said he sold it about an hour after it was posted...

Darn!

Well, I have sent like 7 e-mails to other people with 55 gallons they have for sale, so hopefully I will get a 55 soon!

Craigslist FTW!!!!!

Besides, those Cichlids need a bigger tank than a 29 gallon!

One person got back to me, and they said that they were moving so....

They THREW IT AWAY! No!

That really sucks!

All I can say is to keep trying, fatheadminnow. There are unused tanks and equipment in garages and basements everywhere. Good luck with finding one for your fish.

BTW, did you ask them if it's still sitting out on their curb? I'm serious. I've picked up (literally) a good tank that way.

I asked them if they could recover it, and they haven't sent me an email back yet.

This one guy got back to me about a 55 gallon, stand, lights, and a bio-wheel filter for $130, so I might pick that one up.

It looks REALLY nice!

I just guess some people just don't see the beauty in a fish like we all do?

Oh well.

I know, I could not believe it when he wrote me that!

He was asking $120 for the whole lot, but instead, "I know, I will just smash it!"

Whatever, at least there are a lot more out there, I might buy that one that I have provided a link for.

What do you all think of that one?

There was no price, so I took the opportunity and gave him a pretty good offer!

I hope he will come through and let it go for what I offered him!

EDIT: After looking at it more, it is a 45 gallon, not a 55.

Good luck! I love Craigslist!! I found my current 55 Gallon on there and I'm going to look at this one tonight:

If you don't find one out there, we have an abundance in Portland. I'm quite picky though and don't like the wood style trim, so that does limit my choices.

I just got off the phone with this one guy who is selling a 55 gallon tank with a hole drilled about 2 inches down from the top for a sump. Still has a protein skimmer hooked up.

Also, it comes with a 20 gallon tank/sump with all dividers and what not.

He said he would take $40.00 for the whole lot!!!!!!!
