hahaha XD lol nope must have been an error seems fine now, my crypts have started sprouting new leaves i hate also went and bought 12 bunches of twisted vellas i think there called, looks quite gd hope there be fine in my tank haha, only cost me £15 for the lot i looked for some more crypt but the shop didn't have any, i also bought some more torpedos but i think i #71###ed up some where and nocked the temp of my heater to around 30 XD #71###ing things and there for all my torpedos died sadly RIP little guys, so i now only have 15 cory's 1 plec and 4 angels, whom i think are breeding whoopeee , all is going well i bought some frozen food to feed my guys with 2 times a day one flake one frozen seems to work well, my angels LOVE blood worms but don't same to like the shrimp'y things haha,

I shall get picks of my tank when my camera is working

i think thats it for my tank altho i would like to get torpedos again i just love them to much and i keep #71###ing them up to much , but i have bought a temp sensor with an alarm on it so now i know if the tank drops or increases to much

not sure if i mentions on here but i bought a wheelie bin 270L standard uk size yellow to help with water changes and it makes my life allot easer, the idea is to fill it up with hose pipe night before, stick in all the De chlorinator then and shut in a spare heater i have and heat the water temp up over night, i then emptie the water into small buckets cleaning the sand and what not then i disconnect one of my filters and stick the inlet pipe int othe wheelie bin and let the filter do the work, as the water is declorinated it won't effect the bacteria in the filter so i hope and it speeds up my water changes from being 3 to 4 hours long to now around 30mins to an hour

i think it is a gd idea, any comment much appreciated

as i Promised earlier, i have some new pictures of my twisted Vellas they seem to have melted pretty bad but are growing slowly my anibus seem to be growing well along with my crypts altho these have gone purple in some areas, so i have a post in the planted section for those , i am going away for 4 months now so i am going to post some pictures up in the planted journal to record what they are now and to see the difference when i come back click hereto see those

i also could not resist and bought new red line torpedos they are just to beautiful and i got tiny baby ones this time, they seem to be a lot happier and eating better than my old ones so fingers crossed they survive

for the lid side of things i have got round to getting more paint so i am in the process of painting the outside , going to paint it black like the inside i shall again post pictures up when its finished but i can confirm plasti-kote spray paint for those in england has no effect on an aquarium for the short term at least if its not submerged

I love the look of the planted!!!! Maybe I would put some tall plants reaching to the top at the back, so the angels could hide in there, if they felt unsafe.

Have you thought about putting moss on the wood? Something like this.


And what's up with the pleco? It's freaking huge!!! How did you get it to grow this quick?!

thank you i am trying to grow the vallis to the top of the tank they supposed to peak at my height so fingers are crossed they do like hiding behind them already some times but when i come to the tank the come out and come to me i have never seen the angels scared or something with the moss i did look at it but i don't like the look of the moss no die why but hey i love the bare wood INO, and the plec we bought him like that wish i grew him that big, the shop said he was 6 months old but i don't know altho as seen in the pics he loves to mess up my sand haha

okay all you all screamed for updates sorry i was in afghan from March to August then to Australia and now i am back

I was amazed at the state of my tank when i returned ye so i did a deep clean and it is now looking amazing again,

bigest update i can see is new rocks for my cave, new plants being amazon swords i hope and 6 new Clown loaches and 2 baby BN plecs

Sadly we lost my big plec have no idea why :'( and lost 10 of my beautiful cory's no idea why either but i am guessing not feeding them enough

oh almost forgot, i have modified my outflow from one of my filters with a Hosepipe plug thing and a flow switch so now all i need to do i connect a hose pipe to it and i have a bucket free water change, along with my Wheelie bin and using the filter to pump water back in

But after i did a Deep clean this is how it looked then

But since that deep clean one of our lights broke and i think that may be the reason for the loss of plants, but in pictures above there was allot of twisted vellas loved them, and now they have all thinned out also i killed almost all of my anibus plans sadly my mistake but one survived and is regrowing once it grows enough i shall break into two and place spread it about

P.S i not sure if i mentioned above next big move for me is getting a CO2 system and mabe growing some carpet plant on the right hand side of the tank who knows but i really want to get CO2 system im looking at FE

that tank looks amazing
but it will be overstocked once the loaches are full grown since they can grow to be about a 1 foot long
