Are the Chiefs the new Patriots🤔
Not sure but I have doubts. Chiefs can be beat if the other team keeps discipline. For some reason other teams try to beat the Chiefs by playing the Chiefs' game instead of their own game. Any time you play according to what the other team does you have already set yourself up to lose.

Well color me surprised as my Red Skin Potatoes won today. If I had owned the team, I would have renamed them the red skin potatoes and continued to be able to call them the red skins. I began rooting for them when on college in D.C. the the back half of the 1960s when I began watchng pro football. Back then they they were good. For the last 10 or more years they have been very hard to watch.

I used to bet on football in the 1980s but gave it up when my good paying job was lost due to a merger. I find myself watching less and less football these days. All the rules changes have made it much less enjoyable to watch. I cannot remember the last time I saw an entire game from start to finish including the super bowl games.

I just see a lot of complaining that they get all the calls and preferential treatment from the zebras. Last week Ravens complained that the receivers toe wasn't out of bounds on the last play, replay showed it was. This week the pass interference call that, if the flag wasn't thrown would have meant the bungals would have won.

What about that Raider come back? Ravens now 0-2...wow

Chargers look good under Harbaugh. Disciplined and run-centric. Defense is pretty solid. See how many games Bosa plays this year before he eventually gets hurt

My bears look like a dumpster fire, or at least their offense does. Caleb Williams was a complete miss as the number 1 pick. Jayden Daniel's should have been their pick or even Penix.

Bad news for my Browns in relation to Nick Chubb. :( Looks like the earliest he will play is week five but more likely is that he misses half the season if he plays at all.

I just don't get my Browns! They lost to the Giants today when they should not done so. Granted in that they lost three line starters.
In the span of two plays, both right tackle James Hudson III and left tackle Jedrick Wills Jr. suffered injuries that resulted in trips to the locker room. That was a series after right guard Wyatt Teller left with a knee injury, after which the Browns immediately ruled him out of the rest of the game...

Joel Bitonio to left tackle from left guard, and Ethan Pocic from center to left guard. Rookie Zak Zinter filled in for Teller at right guard, while Dawand Jones, apparently benched to open the second half, came back in for Hudson at right tackle.

Shoot, Joel Bitonio is considered one of the best offensive linemen in the league but he hasn't played tackle in three years.

So, OK, with a devastated offensive line we can sort of excuse the seven sacks but it is obvious they could not protect Watson. Personally I don't like having Watson as QB but this loss was on the coaching, not Watson. With the damage to the line why would you keep trying to pass from the pocket when there is no chance for protection? Even without Chubb you still have an above average rushing attack. RUN THE BALL! When you DO pass don't try to do it from the pocket but on roll outs where the QB gains a bit more time.

Even with all the above the Browns still had opportunities to win in the fourth quarter but here comes the stupid mistakes such as an interception being nullified due to a penalty which ended up giving the Giants a first down which continued the drive which resulted in a Giants' TD. The Browns lost by six. Take away this penalty and the Browns win the game. Stupid mistakes are killing them!

Let's also consider the dropped passes. On the Browns' last drive they went for it on fourth down and Watson threw a perfect pass that hit the receiver on the numbers for a first down fairly deep in Giants' territory... Nope, another dropped ball and a turnover on downs.

I'm beginning to wonder if the Browns have the coaching staff needed to match the talent on the team. It is like they go into a game with a plan and refuse to change regardless of the game situation. I'm not a big fan of Bill Belichick but his biggest asset was the ability to change the game plan if things weren't going right. The Browns' staff drastically seems to be missing this ability.

Monday night football.
Chiefs vs Saints....two good teams...Should make for an awesome game to watch. KC favored by 5 points.
I ordered a month of Sling tv so I can watch it. There will be another Chiefs game on Nov 4th also on Monday night. That game will be Chiefs/Buccaneers.
This year I'm rooting for the Chiefs and the 49ers. My team, the Patriots are horrible AGAIN this year. Ever since Brady left, they have had pretty dismal years.

Sling? I take it that you don't have ESPN....

I do not have cable tv. I dropped it several years ago. I watch via antenna or very occasionally via a pay streaming service.
There are so many free things to watch via Roku tv, Pluto, Tubi, and many more apps on my Roku.

I'll be joining you as to dropping my cable... sort of. Actually I'm waiting for the fiber optics to be laid in my area for Blue Peak. I'll use Roku for a lot but may also subscribe to a low end Blue Peak TV package for specific channels such as ESPN and the Food Network.

Chiefs skunked the Saints. It was an awesome game to watch. Mahomes threw for 331 yards.

Another great game is on Thursday night football. Seahawks against the 49ers.--- two closely matched teams. 49ers are favored by 3 points. It's going to be shown on Amazon Prime.

The new rookie quarterback, Drake Maye, is playing this Sunday for the Pats. I guess the Pats decided to give the rookie a chance to show his skills seeing that Brissette hasn't played very well.
I just hope the Pat's offensive line can protect the quarterback...they have been pretty poor this year.

Watson is trash period. I watched the game last weekend and there was a lot of throws and opportunity for him to run to open spots, pick up a few yards and leave the offense in a better situation even if it was only a yard or 2 that he just didn't make any attempt. He looks like he has reverted back to the skills of a rookie or lack thereof. He missed a lot of open receivers never even looking their way. Meanwhile Joe Cool is doing things in Indy...this offense isn't as bad as it looks under Watson

Can you believe Jayden Daniel's! That kid is on fire and who saw Washington coming out 4-1? I didn't. Dan Quinn has resurrected that team from the ashes. There defense looks solid and their offense is something else right now catching everyone off guard. Daniel's is hitting his 2nd and 3rd reads and once in awhile throwing deep dots and connecting. He can extend plays with his feet either running for yardage or hitting receivers on the move to his right mostly. What's most amazing about him is his ability to slide his feet in the pocket and stay engaged downfield with his eyes. It's very veteran-esque of someone who's been in the league and few years. Those 55 college starts have given him all the necessary experience. Damn Bears...

Frisco 2-3

Bungals 1-4

Are probably the biggest surprises so far. I can't stand burrow so seeing the bungals defense collapse so far this year has been great. That Bungals/Ravens game was one of the best games I've ever seen, you couldn't have scripted that ending.

Jacksonville, Browns and Eagles HC's are imo all on the hot seat. Jags coach might also end up like Saleh and not make it through the entire season. Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie missed badly by not firing Sirianni after last season and grabbing Belichek. They have a ton of talent all over the field and Sirianni can't makes heads or tales of it. Hurts is getting all the blame but as much as I don't care for the eagles I've watched him play and know what he's capable of it's not his fault.

On Thursday night football, the 49ers face the Seahawks -- 2 closely matched teams. Should be a good one. Go 49ers!

I'm a fairly hardcore Eagles fan. Husband is from Philly & we lived in DE for almost 20 years. Hurts is just ok, he has his moments...or used to. He's not good at quick reads of the defense. Lately, ok, 2 of his receivers were injured, new center & defense lost the best sacker. But it's hard to be a fan sometimes. We drown our sorrows in cheese steaks.

Belichek was only as great as TB was. He left & all heck broke loose. We were Pats fans when we lived in MA, but only if they didn't play the Eagles...That Super Bowl was hard to live through in enemy territory, we kept our heads down & jerseys covered, lol.

I'm from Michigan & outside of Barry Sanders, there hasn't been a Lion team worth watching for years. Goff came in & did well for a few exciting games. Maybe not so much now. Stafford did better too for a while in LA; a good trade for both teams.

My cousin's Thanksgiving prayer has always ended with "& Lord let the Lions win". LOL! I can't remember when they did...

Now we live in 49er's territory, it can be hard to root for the home team sometimes...
