Dear glob its been a long time hasn't it
Almost a month jeebus
Ok well a lot of macroalgae I managed to sneak back from Puerto Rico died but 3 managed to live with 2 struggling
The macro algae near the zoas is firings as well due to some* cyano, but nothing to complain about.
Also yet another new macro algae appeared around the yellow polyps rock, looks insane.
Moving from plants to inverts now, I think maybe 4 new additons I haven't mentioned
2 headed golden torch coral

clowns love it
Christmas favia coral, isn't doing too well I'm still trying to find a place where it will be happy and not savagly murder things or get knocked down. My worry of putting it on the Sand bed is that a) conch trolls it or b) turbo snails troll it its begining to turn pale-ish where it is right now ( top of the tank in front of output nozzle)
And a rasta spaghetti leather coral my dad bought
The candycane head that was siding is completely healed and it is in fact splitting to make a new head. I decreased my dosage to every 2 days instead of every other day and its helped a lot.
The chalice like coral is in fact a cyphastrea coral, and holy cat its growing so fast. But my lights aren't strong enough so its tanned alittle only the polyps are green now.
Ricordea is fine
Mushrooms are fine, the ones in the 20 are organizing a colony once more.
Yellow polyps are growing well
Gsp frags are doing great obviously and getting good growth
My clam died NOOOOOOO but the watermelon zoas have held it together and they are spreading nicely
The radioactive zoas are doing good as well
The Duncan is on its unhappy streak but I'm sure it will perk up
Also happy to say I'm almost aiptasia free! Only 2 left
And that's because I got 2 more peppermint shrimp, and they must like it because I've seen 2 skin sheds so far. And one of them has taken refuge under the zoa rock so he says hello every now and then
Also I should be getting some mushrooms in the mail soon:
3 kinds of rics
3 saint Thomas mushrooms
2 Florida mushrooms
And a black spined sea urchin
And lastly, le fish
Clowns are now distinguished male and female, meaning there's a size difference now nothing else lol
Gramma is doing well and not as skiddish
Another pair of bangaiis, its day 4 or 5 and still no fighting, we shall see (if you haven't guessed yet the urchin is for future babies, they hide among the spines in the wild)
Maybe a longnose hawkfish in the future? Month or so from now in case bangaiis don't turn out well ?
Well I think that's it.. might rig up a metal halide to add some light (do store bought fixtures work ok?)
