Ha, ha. Yes, the client did a water change before I came over.
Growth is very slow but as you say, low-maint and low algae risk is the key. There is signs of light deficiency on some of the plants so we're getting some proper reflectors, as the built-in ones are rubbish. Once the plants, especially crypts, have adjusted we'll swap a Power Glo for a Life Glo for nicer rendiiton.
CO2 is 2 BPS, no idea on ppm but there is pearling on the swords and crypts. TNP+ liquid fert is 3ml every day, 1/3 water change per week, all done by the client.
This is the fist time I've seen the tank in over 6 weeks, since initial planting. I'm literally just there for advice now, I don't get my hands wet.
The couple are off to buy there first display fish this weekend (there's otos and baby bristlenose in there now). Neons and a red tail black shark.
We looked through a load of decent 'scapes last night, mostly Iwagumi and NA stuff and they loved them. It's nice to see folk's react so positively to great aquascaping.
