I've just upgraded from a 15gal - 60ltrs, I had a 75w heater in it and it would over heat it. So just watch out for that.
My heater was set to 20℃ and it would heat it up to 24℃
I now habe it in my 125 ltr and Uta keeping the Temperature Level

Yes, some heaters may well do overheat water if its over capacity for smaller tanks, I found out this for myself with a smaller 5 gal tank and had a 50w heater in that at was set at minimum 20C and yet temp was around 27 - 28C. Changed it for a 25w heater, much better and more consistent.
This particular 100w heater in the 10 gal is good and I have 2 thermometers in the tank, one digital and one glass one, at opposite ends of the tank, both thermometers shows just under 24C and has been like this for 5 months or so
