Hi all, I know most of u are live plant people, but i want to plant up my cray tank. Gotta be fake plants unless theres a real plant out there that he won't eat. Any suggestions on make or materials that look as natural as possible. Don't really want them looking obviously fake and cheap! Ta Ash

What sort of money are u expecting to pay per fish? Saw them in my LFS @£15.00 each. Which I thought was crazy seeing as they should be in a shoal!!! Wicked fish though really taken by them

Finally found a lfs with rummynose tetras, I always wanted a shoal. Will they be ok with the barbs? The reason I ask is I've had a tiger barb/ neon disaster before now!! And are they large enough to stay out of the ABF mouth? Ta Ash

I know most of u fancy a challenge! Bought a pair of these guys today but i've forgotten their name. They are mainly grey with vertical stripes and red outlines to fins. Apparantly they are reasonably peaceful and should breed easily. Pics taken with phone so not too clear but any suggestions...

Just moved house twice in 6 mnts. Bagged up fish , left media in filter, sand in bottm of tank, and refilled. no probs yet. Just be as quick as poss. My fish were in bags for 5 hrs.

If the victim is taken out will the aggressor not find some else to beat up?

Planning ahead here as I can see the early sign of disagreements already. My 2 male Firemouths are beginning to get the arse with each other. One being smaller will almost definately be the weaker. One will have to go. Do you move the agressor or the victim? Thanks Ash

Afternoon, i have a couple of young male GTs about 2 and 3 inches long. At the mo agression is minimal. Occasional the larger wil give the little one a quick chase. No contact. My Firemouths currently run the tank when the Plec isn't giving everyone aggro. I realise the GTs are gonna get big...

I'm gonna have to drain my main tank to fit the background I've bought. The fish can be housed in my 100l for the night. The filter is one of these massive built in Juwel filters which won't fit in the small tank. If I just tank out the media and place it in the small tank will the bacteria...

I had one that was either too hot or too cold in the end I forgot to turn it off when doin a water change and broke it :crazy: Prob for the best, went out and bought a Visatherm that kicks ass! :D

There's numerous ways to stop the cheating, they're never gonna be 100% secure coz some people will always break rules. But they shouln't have the chance to spoil it for others Bring it back :thumbs:

I found the forum just as it was all coming to an end (I've read the treads to reasons why) Love to see it back. Not only is it great inspiration for your own tanks but it might encourage more people to really go all out when decorating thier tanks. And I'd fancy winning TOTM :P

My Tigers are so eager to see me or eat they usually swim straight into the net in a nice big shoal... the easiest fish to catch, if not the most intelligent. ash

The store have always said they're only males. Judging by fins etc they look male. Don't fancy buying a load to find out they're not female!!

I'm looking to get some female Firemouths to go with the males I already have with the plan of breeding them. However my LFs only ever seem to stock males, prob coz of brighter colours. Does anyone know of a Lfs in the South that stocks females. Or even better are there any private breeders out...

I have Clown Loaches with my Firemouths and Green Terrors. No one bothers the Clowns they seem to have some sort of calming effect over more aggressive fish :fun: Not that I'm reccommending putting CL with aggressive fish! :look: Ash

:D YOu noticed then Steve. Prob the only one. My remaining Clown thought he was a Tiger. Got him a companion now so his identity is coming back slowly! Think its between 60 and 70 Us gals, I'm sure someone can confirm this.

Well they didn't have many in the end. Just 2 Bronzes and an Albino so got them all, for the very reasonable price(kinda end of line mix and match deal) Fingers crossed they all get along Ash
