hey i just got a new juwul tank and got it set up, but teh heater it came with seems to be hetaing teh water to well over 30 even tho i think i have got it on teh coolest setting? any ideas what i can do?

Juwel heaters are a nightmare, mine did that, pulled it out in the end and bought a new one, never knew where you was setting it to, isn't it anti clockwise to turn them down, it might take a day to you no where it is set.

Yes they are annoying. i have mine on the lowest setting and the temp is at 25-26!!!

I'm trying to get the temp down in one of my juwel tanks at the moment and this is the second night I moved the damn setting - not much seems to be happening so far. Tomorrow, I may need to get temp down slightly with a cooler water change, just in the short term, til I get this heater sussed.

I was days trying to alter the temp, i was that mad with the heater that i went out and bought a new one, where you can see the dial with the temp on, stupid juwel heaters, even tryed to set temp in a bucket.

I think the Juwel heaters are set at the highest temp. possible. It took us ages to get the temp. down as we kept putting it down a couple of notches every day. I think in the end we must have turned it in 2 complete circles. Knock it down several clicks at a time anti-clockwise.

I had one that was either too hot or too cold in the end I forgot to turn it off when doin a water change and broke it Prob for the best, went out and bought a Visatherm that kicks ass!
