I did have 6 harlequins but only 2 now. Is there any pleco's that dnt get as big? Ive had him for months and he hasnt grew at all, lady in store said he wouldnt get much bigger than he is now.

I removed the filter last night and cleaned the sponge inside of it, but I cleaned it in the tank water and not clean water. I didnt really want to do a massive water change just yet as I am currently treating my male guppy for fin rot :( Thanks for your help :)

Yes, I wrote above that I had tested the water last night and all my stats are perfect. I removed everything from the tank and clean it all and put fresh water in, along with a few litres from the tank that I had the fish in.

Hi Guys, My tank has been severe cloudy for about 4/5 days now and all the fish are constantly swimming at the top of the water. I am assuming it is a bacteria bloom, and was wondering how to/if I can clear it???

I'm not getting carried away! All fish look 100% at the min, although I will be keeping a close eye on them incase anything developes again.

I'm well happy, and tank looks hell of a lot cleaner now too - even though it didnt look dirty before :/ lol The ammonia looked slightly above 0, so just added a wee bit of ammonia remover so hopefully it'll go down.

Done another 90/95% water change, tested water and the Nitrite is now 0ppm :D :D :D Lets hope it stays like that lol

Have just completed a water change and the nitrite is between 0.25/1.0 ppm - quite hard to tell the difference in the colour, but its a good bit different from what it was sitting at - 5.0 ppm :/ Will do another water change tomorrow, does it have to be 90/95% again??
