Are dwarfs better kept in pairs or can you have just one?

Bio-Max is always an excellent third layer. One ring of it is equal to about , something like, 20 square feet of space (If I remeber correctly) and so you get a nice huge metropolis of good bacteria. Another plus is it lasts the rings stay good for about a year. Bio-max is wicked!!!

Sorry to hear about your guppy. My molly died when she was almost ready to drop her fry and I made a small incision into her belly. I got a pleasant surprise that there were two that were alive, but they died soon after. I hope you have better luck than I did. :( Good luck!
