Congrats mate Hmm well it would depend whether you want as many fry to survive as they can, if you're not bothered leave the other fish in, if not pull the other fish out so the fry have the best chance of surviving. Have the eggs hatched yet? As the cories will munch them quickly

Certainly a good start mate, couple things I noticed, the left side needs to be a touch taller and denser, also the anubias on the far right i would move to the open part of the wood in the centre

I agree am not a fan of blue, but I do use a warm white/ yellow strip which looks much better IMO, like sunrise/sunset rather than blue moonlight

Ok mate no probs If you want moonlight type lighting you can get some cheap led strips from ebay, i got mine for £4.50 or something, but theres no need to run it all night but a couple hours either side of your main lights is good :good:

Im not great on bulbs but for plants I generally use between 6-8k daylight tubes, which I would suggest you go for, also your lighting period should be no more than 8hours a day to Prevent algae and to give the fish a bit of a break! Ambient room lighting is fine, there is no need for night...

Welcome :good: Just a couple things, do you know exactly what bulbs you have? Do they say anything on the bulb? How long are your lights on? The algae is probably black brush algae (google it for pics) and this could be down to a couple of things Looks to me like you could do with some extra...

Your slate is going to pose a bit of a problem too tbh, cichlids like rams dig around in it alot along with loaches, i can imagine it could be very sharp, I would advise sand as a much better substrate

I only use drip acclimatisation for sensitive fish or say for instance you are trying to keep soft water fish in harder water, no need for most general fishies or less sensitive types

Might be too much Zod, try get a 3000lph one

Didnt even think diy co2 was possible on 180l so you obviously did well. Does it run out quickly? My tanks 300l but I dont think I could be bothered with it :lol:
