I dont have KH test, but i know its low where i live.... My Ph is 7.4 ( i have shels in the filter to keep this level steady) The Nitrate level is nil (yellow on the API test) it has not gone up since i added the plants, i just thought it was a side effect of the plants.

Hi Question.. My tank is fully cycled i have a few real plants in the tank, Every reading using the API test kit is nil, so i have been doing a 20% water change every 2 weeks. Is this enough or should i do more? thanks

Hi i am now (after your advice) using the API test kit and the nirItes have never gone above just over nil (slight pink tone to the blue ..... but laste 4 weeks have been NIL

Tank is 94l river reef wirh built in filter system ....... they looked fine when i got them but there were 2 guppys looking a bit worse for ware at the lfs

I have 5 zebra danios in my tank and my tank runs around 25-26.... they seem fine, they are mor energetic when the temp peeks (my heater is set on 23/24 but digi termometor reads higher)

Tested water today and had movement from the nill readings Ammonia nil nirIte 0.1 nitrAte less than 3 but more than 0 So some thing is happening !!!!!!!!!

Just adding a pinch of food prob about 1/2 cm in a test tube ish ..... its all eaten within 20 -30 second and only feed once a day. The tub of food looks full still :)

only other things ive been putting in tank are food "aqua one Discus granuals" and "stress coat " in fresh water when doing water changes.. Tested sand and std tap water BOTH came out at 6.5-7 re tested tank and came out 6.5....... so may have been contaminated test tube ??? on origonal test.

Right still all going well, but all my tests showing nill, can this be correct... I changed 10l of water last night also my temp seems to have gone up a degree since i changed the water.... ive not touched the heater.

Hi I hope this is not a stupid question. I was planning on a fishless cycle, but coulnd not find any ammonia any where and LFS said "I didnt need to do that and the internet was confusing me and that was th sillyest thning they had herd" They advised me to run the tank with no fish for a week...

hows the tank going.... gi ot one of them last week, just cycling it this week first fish next week all being well
