this is not my pic but the looked like them!
and there bad for fish and they lay eggs all the tine
i would of thought they would of come in from the pond mature media i put in,

so i took my filter trays out to have a look and there were millions of eggs leeches some really big ones

so iv completly clean my tank boiled all my media cleaned everything, just got all back together turn the lights on, what do i see

about 6 tiny baby leech looking things, but they could be planaria,

i started my first attempt on the 26th of june, then again due to problems with stress coat my cycle was nearly done and this happens
hopefully 3rd time lucky,
just need to KILL these leeches

If you use copper in any tank, that tank will be unsuitable for snails or shrimp for quite a long time after. This is not to say not to use the product but is something to be aware of when you are getting ready to add anything to the tank in the future.

omg that is terrible news :(
you were getting pretty close as well, so sorry dude. Hope you get some mature media, so you can get a headstart again. Bloody leeches

cheers
I know but,
i could of carried on but then when i got fish t i would of had probs with the fish than,
added ammonia last night and already dropped abit and a slight hint of lilac in the nitrite, so hopefully 3rd time lucky,

hopefully you will be there soon :good:

does anyone know what i can use to kill them off?
