Hi all mollies will be quite easy to breed as they are from the livebearer family. 1 male to 3-4 females should do the trick. Hope that helps

i had around 30 from a guppy, she was massive only 20 lived though.

I like breeding swordtail, they seem alittle more challenging than mollies or guppies.

I have another 3 foot tank with female betta, could i put the male in there. It is very heavily plannted with loads of hiding spaces.

It look like a female to me and a nice one at that.

You dont really have to confine the male aznd the female guppies as not fights should take place.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys, I have a 5ft tank with neons,female betta, guppys and swordtail at the moment. Although i am looking into breeding betta at the moment, i have done it before and i really enjoyed it.

Also when breeding like that frys can be deformed cant they?

I have always had bad luck with dwarf gourami, they always get pop-eye. Its the only fish ive had so far that ive not had much luck with. :crazy: But they are a nice fish

I had 2 kissing gourami for about 5 year, and it was nice watching them kiss lol. They never showed any aggresion towards any other fish in my tank either. :good:

OMG some nice betta there, i bet there nice and expensive to lol.

I would agree with that, once mine has had a fry i leave it in a breeding net for 48hours or so. Then let them back into the main tank. :good:

I would say another week, week and a half maybe. :D

Oh what a shame, is the tank heavily planted. If you are wanting to breed these fish maybe have a breeding tank, or get rid of the krib.
