Actually, I havent noticed any 'loving' behavior, one of my black females is a little aggressive, and chases the other 2 around Thanks, I picked out the orange, black, and white, because my fiancee really likes koi, but abviosly we cant have koi in a 10gal, So I picked colors that match!!

No, her scales looked normal. But I was just watching the the tank, and notice that one of my other females is a little aggressive, even with my male. Do you think that if the white female were submissive enough, the other female could have killed her?

If they are so sensitive, why put beginner on them at the store? :grr: I told they little guy I wanted pretty, yet sturdy fish, that wont die off so easily. And yes, she slimmed down before she died, that was just the best picture I had of her.

I prefer the males, they are just so beautiful, I dont really plan on adding any kind of tank mates. Though a small snail would be cool! I like the idea of the 5 gal, its big enough for the little guy, and doesnt take up as much room as a larger tank.
