At what age can you tell if the fry is albino? i mine are a week free swimming now and most are fairly dark, both parents are commons but i have 6 or 7 that are fairly light in colour. Are these likely to be albinos?

He's always been very bad tempered with being kept with any other pictus, tried groups of 2,3 and 4 he's attacked all of them! Would i have any better success if i moved the eggs to a breeding trap in the same tank? if it would help i'll go and buy one tomorrow!

It's a Rio 180 tank with roughly 10 or so hides, including coconut shells with tiny entrances. With any luck one or two might live! I believe the eggs have been there 2 or 3 days at the most. All are bright orange and the male is fanning them happily!

Hey all! I have aprox 50 bristlenose eggs in my community tank at the moment with no ability to move them to a safe fry tank. In the same tank are two angels and a pictus, what are the chances of any survivals? there is alot of hiding places for them as well which may help.

I think he has about 40 tanks, nothing wrong with algea on the sides or back.. but when it's at the point you can't see whats in the tank! atleast give it a scrape! I think he was charging 80p for black skirt tetras so tempted to get some from him!

He could in all fairness have been about to clean the tanks! and as the shop gets alot of sunlight straight onto the tanks this may explain the algea! but still didn't look very nice! I'll pop in there tomorrow and have another look!

Let me know what it's like in there Seanie, Maybe i caught him on an off day, but i won't buy if there are more than two dead fish in a tank and a few tanks filthy! But then in some tanks he did have some nice looking fish!

He did have some good prices on some fish, but i think i won't be buying from there in a rush! They used to be fantastic a few years ago.

Found a shop in Plymouth, Devon to avoid, it contained 40 to 50 tanks, all full of fish, alot just laying on the bottom or floating dead. a fair few of the tanks had so much algea on the glass you couldn't even see inside! These tanks were still stocked! the name of the place is Devon Tropicals.

Dwarf pleco?

Won't be getting any glowlights until next week now, the ones i had seen in the LFS yesterday.. half of them were dead this morning when i went to get some! so decided against it!

Well this morning i came down to find only 3 false harlequins left in the tank, after moving many rocks, and plants, i look in the filter.. and yup, there is two of them happily swimming around in the filter! nutters.

Am considering glowlights to get tomorrow, lfs are doing 5 for £4.50!

One of my lfs have white cloud minnows in for 50p each, would they get along with the rasboras?

They actually look more like false harlequin rasboras but they are pretty! I'll get another 5 next week! they were just under 2 quid each, not sure if that's a good price for them! the scissortails were £1.30 each

I've just bought 5 Harlequin Rasboras and 3 Scissortail Rasboras for the tank, might go for another 5 Harlequins and maybe ditch the tetra idea, and get a few more Scissortails.

I might double the Rummys up to 10 if i can find them cheap enough! i'm not going to pay £3 per Rummynose which seems to be the price in Plymouth!

The tank is 7 years old and it currently has 3x Hoplo's In it. I'm hoping to add 10x Neon Tetras 5x Diamond Tetras 5x Rummy Nose Tetras 2x Bristlenose Would this be okay stocking wise? Or could i have more Tetras?

Silicone can and should dry underwater if you get the right stuff! i have used it many times as a plumber! Can't say i've ever used it in a fish tank though.

My upside down is very inactive, alot of the time he'll stay in the same place for days on end and then have a swim around late at night then straight back to another plant and stay there for days. I think it's pretty normal for them but if anyone else could help?

Moved them in this morning, buggers to catch! hopefully they will settle soon, the tanks are the same temp and the water quality is virtually identical.

I'm looking at moving my 3 hoplos into my second 180litre tank with 2 Silversharks 2 Corys 1 Dwarf Pleco 1 Red Tail Shark Will they get along okay? or is there likely to be any conflicts?
