What Are Suitable Tank Mates For 3 Clown Loaches?

I keep rasboras with mine, the harlequins are about the same size as a cardinal tetra, my loaches are bigger than yours and they're fine together. ETA: I also have a shoal of pygmy corydoras that are smaller than the rasboras and again they are fine.

What To Put In The Tank?

Not sure why loachman said to stay away from pygmy corys, I have 6 of them in my 95L tank and they do a good job. for algae control in an amazonia tank I'd say go with farlowellas instead of a pleco. and IMO no amazonia tank is complete without pristella tetras.

    What's My Snail?

I'm not worried about it reproducing, it's in an aquarium alone supposedly cleaning the gravel. I'm sure my clown loach would like a snail snack should I end up with more.

can someone tell me what kind of snail I got as a tag along with a crypt? I believe the little white dots are ostracods, or maybe copepods.

    Looking For Fish Suggestions

I never had an issue with khulis and cories. I'm a big harlequin rasbora fan, they're a lot like tetras but mine seem more sociable than my tetras ever did. I have a pygmy cory in with my harles with no issues at all.

10 Gallon Tank Is This Ok?

I believe the rule is 1 gallon per inch of fish. since platies usually get around 2" if you get four of them thats 8 gallons just for them, I think it might be a little over crowded, especially with live bearers.

    Sexing Brilliants

I've got a trio of brilliant rasboras, I think 2 of them are female, but I'm not positive, do females chub out when they're gravid? can anyone either tell me how to sex and maybe breed them, or give me a link with this info? Thanks

he's in a 2 gal aquarium. apparently the veiltails with these markings are known as "apricot spots", while HM's are "dalmations".

    New Betta

even the not so pretty bettas are cool. my last one was blue with a little red, pretty basic color, but he was an awesome fish. I'll have to look into dalmation bettas.

    New Betta

It's been about a year now since I lost my last betta, I had him for three years. I hadn't planned on getting a new one, but this guy wasn't looking so hot in the LFS and looked like he needed some help. He's already looking a lot better and has figured out where the food comes from. He looks...

    Ground Cover For High Ph?

I was told to not worry too much about my pH, but rather get very hardy plants, my pH is somewhere between 8 and 9. I have an anubias barterii that's thriving and growing pretty fast, two java ferns that are being eatten by one of the fish, and some sort of amazon sword that's pretty much dying...

    Ph

I thought about using peat, though the thought of it containing chemicals has kept me from actually using it. I have a Echinodorus of some sort, it's still alive but very short and bushy and rather transparent, I've also got a couple of java ferns that are doing okay but should be doing better...

    Ph

hey, I have a small aquarium set up with some fish that some people consider delicate(clown loach, farlowellas, and yes I know how big they get) I've been trying to deal with the pH for years, my tap water is higher than 8.0, is there anything I can do to keep the pH closer to neutral? while my...
