It's been about a year now since I lost my last betta, I had him for three years. I hadn't planned on getting a new one, but this guy wasn't looking so hot in the LFS and looked like he needed some help. He's already looking a lot better and has figured out where the food comes from. He looks more pink in the picture than he actually is, names Sal.

He's a lovely colour

he's really pritty. you know a sad thing is that my pet store never has cool bettas. ones like yours and other nice ones i only see in pictures. :(

He looks like the dalmation ones, I have a yellow one of those but yours looks purty :good:

even the not so pretty bettas are cool. my last one was blue with a little red, pretty basic color, but he was an awesome fish.

I'll have to look into dalmation bettas.

He really has a great coloration to him. What size tank is he in tho?

Those bubbles are characteristic of a small/non-cycled tank. Just looking out for ur betta :)

No, those bubbles are characteristic of a tank that is newly setup. It happens in pretty much every tank no matter the size. Happened in every single one of our tanks. 3-28gallon.

Anywho!

He is very pretty and I'm sure is happy that someone is going to be taking great care of him.

small/non-cycled

i think i hit the nail on the head with the 50/50 shot with the non-cycled tank. a "tank that is newly setup" falls under that category :/

happened to my new tanks as well.......... not just saying it because

edit: and by hit the nail on the head. i mean i hit the railroad spike on the head cuz i'm too sassy after i drink beer . appols.

I only have a yellow dalmation now but the creamy ones are so purty I will find you one out of my photo bucket.

I was just commenting on the "small" part :p heh

he's in a 2 gal aquarium. apparently the veiltails with these markings are known as "apricot spots", while HM's are "dalmations".
