10 Gallon Tank Is This Ok?

hi iv gt a 10 gallon/40 litre tank and this is what i want to put in it

3 amano shrimp
3-4 cherry barbs
3-4 platies

is that ok or will any problems happen??

I believe the rule is 1 gallon per inch of fish. since platies usually get around 2" if you get four of them thats 8 gallons just for them, I think it might be a little over crowded, especially with live bearers.
 
those fishes will be fine in a 10g tank. The 1 inch per gallon rule is an old method of working out how many fish you can keep in a volume of water. Unfortunately it doesn't take into account body mass and species type. eg: an established 10g tank can hold 20 neon tetras without any trouble, however, it is too small for a 6 inch oscar.
