To be honest i havent really looked to see if it been going to the toilet. It does very occasionaly come down to the bottom briefly but then floats back up again to the top. do you think it may be suffering at all?

Hi.I took some advice given a while ago about feeding small defrosted peas to my goldfish.One is continualy upside down. Been doing this for a couple of days now but its still the same. Any ideas how long it could take or are there any other alternatives i could try? Thanks.

I think you have to put the "uv" inline but before it goes through the filter so the filter foam can collect most of it before the water is returned to your pond. Oh...just noticed that you dont mention if you do have a filter or not.

hi phunky vicar :good: I actually used approx.230 blocks. We layed them on their sides as opposed to upright. The base is about 8 inches thick,then about 3 courses of bricks to reach ground level. My neighbour who is a builder,did all of the building work while i did all the labouring. My back...

Im thinking of adding some of that "rush matting" over the top to help keep most of that nasty harmfull sunlight out. Wifes already sorted out some hanging baskets to hang up :lol:

Hi. Ive set up my sump pump to try and get the water level right,but unfortunatly,its a very hit and miss affair. I just cant get the sensor in the lead to the correct level,plus its much too powerfull. So im going to drain some water out of the pond,drill through the liner and breezeblock...

Not going to have any vines growing up the sides but may put some of that bamboo type screening over the top of the pergola to help keep most of the suns rays off. As for a window in the side of your pond pieman.....sounds like a cool idea to me. Im sure it could be done.

Seeing as ive got a new pond..new filter...new air pump etc... thought i may as well treat myself to a new pump. I need a really powerfull one with 2 seperate outlets. One to run the filter, and one to go to the stone feature i have. I would like to be able to adjust the flow on BOTH outlets...

As the bottom lip of the stone has to sit just below water line,have decided to buy a waterbutt. Its plastic and about 3ft 3in tall,so the feature will sit right on top. Also,im going to cut out some holes in the butt so the fish can hide inside if they want :hey:

Hi flumpet.I have about 8 koi (about 8 inches long) and 4 golfish in my pond. The goldfish had babies late last year (6 eggs managed to survive) and these babies are now about 2 inches long. The koi dont seem to bother them at all. hope this helps
