Hi.Im building a new pond and have a water feature(its one of those "lookalike" pieces of stone, where the water cascades down, made of plastic).
Anyway,it needs to stand on something to reach the water level and i was wwondering if i used breezeblocks to stand it on,would i have to treat the blocks first :dunno:

I'd would certainly treat it, as there is a small possibility of it leaching
lime into the water.
I'd recomende G4 pond sealer
which looks like this

I agree with wolf, get a small can of G4 pond sealer, you could paint them in the black stuff so you can't see them as easily, a small can which would be plenty would set you back around £15.

try upside down plantpots ,problem with breezeblocks is the sharp edges not healthy if the fish decide to rub

terracota should be ok or even plastic if the feature is heavy enough to hold it in place

As the bottom lip of the stone has to sit just below water line, have decided to buy a waterbutt.

Its plastic and about 3ft 3in tall,so the feature will sit right on top.

Also,im going to cut out some holes in the butt so the fish can hide inside if they want :hey:
