I would say no, i would keep puffers as mainly in a species tank but there are always exceptions that people will bring up They barbs will more than likely be picked on and abused

it is very unlikely it spawned, how long have you had it? Try not feeding it for a shortened period of time to see if the belly does in fact go down. How big is the fish? more than likely its belly is large from feeding or it could have a bloating issue

all those things suggested will be ok zuccini, lettuce, skinless peas are the norm for veggie treats weigh them down and they wil pick at it brine shrimp is fine for them as well not very much nutrition in the shrimp unless they are freshly born but otherwise a good treat.

You can try adding a plec, one that stays relatively small as they are pretty armored but do have another tank ready to move it to if the puffers get agressive. Java Fern and moss are both very good plants for these puffs as java moss is in they natural environment and they provide good...

watch the cory, as they are pretty active they may be attacked by your puffs i have heard of people keeping khuli loaches with puffers but keep in mine they do best in a group. putting any "friend" with a puffer is a gamble so have a tank ready if agression finds it way to your non puff tank...

i would suggest marine salt and a temp increase. I dont know how much of an impact salt would have, i do know it will compremise the beneficial bacteria but to how much and what degree according to the amount of salt you'd need to rid the tnak of ich is in question. :/

I would suggest a water change right away. Use a hydropmeter to get the correct Salinity to the water you are adding to the tank and add conditioner for chlorine. It cant be stressed enough that the thank should be cycled before any puffer ( or fish for that matter) is added!!!!!! puffers...

Loaches are scaleless which makes them easily effected by meds at full doses. I've always (when i had to, i try to avoid meds and chemicals in my tanks) use half doses on my loaches.
