    Tank Size For An Oscar?

Fair enough. Havn't been on for a while so didnt realise people had got all Power-Trippy saying they were the President of all Oscars! Sad. lol

    Tank Size For An Oscar?

Depends on your experience/resources. Personally, depending on the dimensions of the tank I think that 55G - 60G up is fine for at least a few years but you might want to plan for somthing bigger later. Oscarfish.com say 55G for life but I think this is pushing it a bit. Basicly the bigger the...

    How Things Change!

Hi all Been a while since I posted. Was looking at my Photos today and had a chuckle at how things change! 2008 Checkout how small my Oscar is in the right hand side of the tank! 2010 And look at him now (living with a new Jag for 10 months or so while I build up a new 100G tank). Plus...

    Asking About Other Fish Forums.

I asked the question because I value the opeinion of most members of this forum. Also, some of the smaller forums are harder to find and I thought there may be some hidden gems out there. I did not suggest pasting in links. I agree with everything else that Darkstar said. I was going to post a...

Not sure where this post belongs. Feel free to move. Can any one reccomend any other good Fish Forums? Think its still OK here but its always the same old faces and questions. Might mix it up a bit with another Forum. Ideally somthing that covers Tropical and Marine. Cheers.

Yep. Probably eaten by other fish. A dead neon is nothing to worry abou if you tank is cycled. No need to panic.

Is Building Sand Ok For My Tank?

I use crushed coral sand in my marine and freshwater tanks. Looks really nice. Have tried building\playsand before. Looks nasty IMO and can trap pockets of ammonia. Crushed coral sand is less dense so doesnt.

    Automatic Top Up Mechanism

Hello all I will shortly be moving in to a flat by myself and wanted to plan in advance for dealing with top ups for periods when I am away for a week or more. Marine Upgrade

Doing well thanks. Still very much alive. They seem to be fairly inconsistent in extending their Polyps. Some days its not at all some days full extension. The GSPs and the toadstool are also doing well. The Toadstool has increased in size by about 40% and looks super healthy. Best thing is...

    Stocking Orca Tl 450

No, thats my ignorance. I thought that it was True Percs that got bigger! It's hard to keep up with all of these species  Mine are flase percs and did fine in the 450 though think a 33g is better for them.
  37. OscarWilde

    Quick Question :)

Have to say that this is not my experience. I keep the corals in my sig using non RO untreated tap water. For water changes I user tap water and mix the salt with a Powerhead for 24hrs. For top ups I simply leave my water container out to get it to room temp and then drop it in. Water...

    Stocking Orca Tl 450

Ignoring all this other chaff. This should be fine if you change the Commons to False Percula Clownfish. They look similar but are a little smaller. I had almost exactly the same setup running for over a year before I upgraded and the previous owner had them in the 450 for 3 years before that...
