yes the species is very aggressive. I've had him for almost wo years now, and the first year he was a fine fish! I guess when they mature they become more violent and territorial. (sorry if I put this in the wrong forum, but anyone have any good names?)

Heh I was thinking of a Chinese name...but all I could think of was Chow, cuz he is a little piggie and like to "chow" down on food. :D ... but I don't know if I like the name Chow.

my dalmation molly died two days ago of dropsy...there really isnt much you can do...but...you can try an epsom salt bath...its not really a cure but it helps relieve the swelling and stuff. And you should place it in your quarintine tank. Dropsy isnt very contagous but just to be safe you...

well maybe it might be a little tight ... :D but I have had a 55g with a snowflake and some cleaning shrimp and it worked perfectly for 3 years (gave him to my brother in-law)...anyways good luck with the lionfish...and watch out for the spines!

A snowflake or zebra moray eel will work very well with a lionfish

possibly they were sick when you bought them... this has happened to me many times.
