Hes been breathing heavily and flicking when hes been swimming since wednesday. All hes doing at the moment is laying in one of my plastic plants.He has got his mouth open and is breathing heavily. His tail has been getting lighter all evening. Is there any chance of him surviving?

I've just looked at this site - is this a good definition of ammonia poisoning? http://fish.mongabay.com/diseases.htm Could the shark also have gill flukes? I found this on the same site Gill Flukes (Dactylogyrus, Cichlidogyrus, Tetraonchus) Tiny worm-like flukes infest the gill membranes...

sorry i don't have any advice, but i just need to tell you how great they look!

i dont see anything wrong with flying fish over if they are kept in good conditions when they get here. I can see where you are coming from though

i feel sorry for any fish unlucky enough to be put it one of those!

every time i go to my lfs i see a dead fish. I find its better not to buy a fish from a tank with a dead one in. Every fish shop gets them - they just need to take them out when they see them!

well, i fed peas to them tonight. They took a couple of nips at them, but as you say Arfie, it will take a short while for them to realise they like them. That goes for me too!

hi i've heard about feeding shelled peas to fish when they are ill. Does anyone know if fish eat them as part of their diet? At the moment all i feed mine are flakes, i tried tubifex but they dont eat it. It want to vary what they eat. I feed my catfish catfish pellets. matug
