    6 assorted cats, 6 platies, and 3 cardinal tetras, I'll be going to the lfs soon I have a credit note they gave me for a pair of plecs I sold them which had grown to big for my tank. I think I will buy some shrimp if they have any. ;)

    Hi, BOD, I've had it for about a year now but added a few more plants 3 months ago the problem that I find with new plant is getting rid of the snail eggs no matter how well I clean the plants a few weeks later there's snails. which why I am reluctant to buy new plants.

    :rolleyes: I have bought from Greenline. A very good selection 'but you must wash the Plants before planting them'. All of the plants I bought from them have flourished.

    phase 2

    Phase 1 as finish, started phase 2 planted about 3 doz assorted plants switch on the heaters lights and filter, now wait until the tank as cycled before I add the fish, I've set the heaters at 80deg F is this temperature 'OK'? Thanks.

    I've not yet decided on which type of fish, I think my wife will have a lot to say about which fish we have, I'm a bit apprehensive about the reverse flow under gravel filter wether to use it or not, any-way I'll decide in the next day or two as to keeping or remove it while the tank as so...

    Well at last I can start phase 1, most of the equipment has now arrived I've cleaned the tank placed the ugf in "I intend to use it as a reverse flow" cleaned the gravel 2mm/-4mm size placed it on the ugf ,added the filter a Eheim 2233 not running yet, also the thermostat/heaters 2x100w not...

    I've a backdrop on my tank which I cleaned with warm water no additives, cut the backdrop to size and stuck in place with sellotape on the outside of the cleaned glass of my tank
