Is it possible to have too many plants in one tank? :dunno:

Are there signs too look out for (say in chemical levels) that might suggest this?

Reason I ask is I'm about to order a few plants online and just want a bit of reassurance before I blow £25. :p

Thanks
Pete

You could buy a made up set of plants for the size of your tank, Most plant retailers sell made up sets

I don't think you can, so long as you use fertilizer to provide them with the nutrition they need. Unless you cannot see the fauna for the flora!

boxman:

You can get around 50 plants for £8 at someone like Greenline Aquatics (http://www.aquaticplants.eu.com/)

If you have too many plants there wont be room for your fishes to swim and they wont be too happy.
