I did not change the water, I drained it out in buckets, cleaned all the tank stones/ornaments and then poured the old water back into the tank, i did this as I needed to move the tank back to its orignal location. and it was very dirty. They are fed on Mussles usually. The only think that is...

Im doing 3 tablespoons for my 27.5 gallon tank, what I forgot to ask is how often do I add salt? everyday week? do i need to do water changes during this? Ryan

It was a new tank yes. they are bigger than salt, proably tad bigger than sugar grains. i dont test for nitrate and all that, only test for water to be neutral which it is PH 7 Ryan
