My black molly gave birth early sunday morning :D .There were 27 total but one died :-( .Now im trying to figure out what to do with them :lol: .

This morning I woke up to find 27 molly fry.This is my first batch of fry and I need to no when I can start feeding them.I put some finely crushed flakes in the breeding trap with them but they just swam away.

Well last night I gave my Pregnant molly plenty of freezedried bloodworms and she ate every last one,I woke up this morning to find 27 fry.She didnt even look that big :P .

Last night I was watching her and she seemed to have diarrhea.Could this have contributed to these white things?

But she still has her gravid spot.I'm sure thats not a spot she was born with because she did not have it when I brought her.Shes sort of a greyish white color.

Some were 3 cm long.the only other way I could describe it is that it looked liked snot :crazy: :o

Yesterday I put my pregnant platty in a 2.5 gallon that has a filter and heater.I filled half the tank with water from the community tank and the rest was new.When I woke up I found these white spongy things floating in the tank :blink: .She seems thinner than before but she still has her...

Congrats on the fry.My molly gave birth while I was at school yesterday and I can't find a single fry :( .Im trying to keep up hope that some weren't eaten and are just hiding.

Yesterday I brought a female guppy that appeared to be pregnant but the thing is,shes about 2 and a half centimeters long :huh: .She was fatter than the others and she had what looked like a gravid spot.Is it possible for guppies that small to become pregnant?

When I got her she didn't have the dark spot on her plus theres a male in there with her so theirs a strong chance its the gravid spot.

I can see my plattys gravid spot,but shes not acting any different.Shes staying behind the plants a little,but she always does that. :rolleyes:.I can see a little squaring of the ventral area but its been like that for a while.I guess all I need is patience :lol:

:huh: My platty has been pregnant(100% sure shes pregnant) for a little over a month and still no fry.Shes not being stressed by any other fish,i've checked the water,the temp is always 79-81 degrees,i've fed her flakes and freeze dried blood worms and added aquarium salt.I do regular water...

Thanks for the replies,im still waiting on my platty to give birth but I have another problem,I found out that my molly is also pregnant :o .Shes in the community tank now and im afraid the intake on my filter may be too strong,is their a way to cover up the intake area so my fry wont get...

Well my platty is doing some sort of wiggling motion but shes floating in the same spot while she's doing it,also when I come toward the tank she swims away and when I put food in she doesnt come up until I move away.

My platty should give birth any day now and I wanted to know any behavior that livebearers show before they give birth.

I recently brought a 1 gallon tank for my platty to stay in while shes pregnant,the tank comes with an undergravel filter.My question is,are undergravel filters safe for fry? -_-

My tank is 10 gallons,my other fish are 2 other mollies and 2 plattys.My molly is all black(dont no name :dunno: ) and shes pretty big.My female platty is also pregnant and shes fine so I dont think its the water.I would post pics but I dont no how :lol:

My pregnant molly has some white stuff on its belly.Is this a sign that shes about to give birth? :huh:
