hi i have just brought 2 new fish from the lfs/gc they were sold as common plecs but i do know that they are catfish, not common plecs, i just dont know what type, does anyone else have any ideas, as i dont know which tank to put them in i do have more piccies, i'm sorry they are not...

our biggest fish at the mo is a commom plec about 10 ins i cant post a piccie as i dont know how :( its the fish in my avater

yes i do have one just asmall corner tank that just has some plants in till i need it

hi i've never had a problem with glass tanks stood stright on the stand, and at one time i had nine of them, so go ahead as long as its leval. you shouldn,t have any probs

1. Are they pregnant! they certainly look like my females that are 100% pregnant 2. How long till birth! no sure as i can never tell with mine but a little while yet 3. What can I do with this bloody CAE!!!! if you still havnt found anywhere i have a 5ft tank he could go in

hi just thought i would say i have never had a problem keeping 1 male betta in a tank with several females, i have no idea what the fry could be

they go on when i get up (about 7am) to when i go to sleep (about 10.30ish) so about 15hrs

:/ i much perfer glass tanks , i have 5 glass tanks and they have very few scrateches on them allough theyare heavy, and i have two acrylic tanks nice and light weight but scratch so easily that i would change to glass if i could,

:blink: not really sure what to say to this other than it might depend on the indiviual fish, i have a male betta that 'seems' to love his large tank (90l) and make use of all the tank , while i have another one in a slightly smaller tank and he just sits up along side the filter, and never...

:angry: my friend has a 4ft x2ft x18ins tank that has sand on the bottom, the problem is she has a 9in approx common plec, he is having a whale of a time digging up the sand and causing the water to become really cloudy, the filter (fluval 404 external) is now getting clogged with sand, she...

just where do you keep a tank that big :o its not the fact that hes selling EGGS its what they grow into and can he be sure that the buy really does have or intends to get a tank that size,

oh i agree but these can grow to approx 5ft, do wish i could have a tank large enough to keep full sized fish like this in but that be in dream land

:o where can i get CLOUT from ive never heard of it, whitespot med by Interpet ive been using this and have turned temp up to 26 degrees but the seenm to still get worse, we have done water changes, ect have enen over dosed ( not deliberately) but does seem to be going, we have now lost about...

we have had a case of white spot in our tank not sure what caused it but have used whit spot treatment, as per instructions but is dosnt seem to be clearing up wondered if any one else has any ideas :)

:D i have just gien a tank and fish to my god son (2nd birthday)both he and his mum adore them he has always had fish and i checked with her first, he loves it he feeds them every morning and spend ages every day watching them
