Awww the synos are SOOO cute, how much did they cost you? I want to get 5 for my new Mbuna tank (around the size of your synos) I think they cost like a fortune though!

As I've said before, I was only left with one harlequin, the most dominant one, you might be experiencing the same thing. To the other poster, any chance Cardinal tetras share this behaviour? They ARE a family of the piranha.

Can i ask what size your aquarium is? And How clear is the water? Crystal clear? Any floating particles? Eheim 2028 = $300 XP4 = 200 Total = 500 Should i get 2 XP4s instead? Or... 3 XP3s for around $500?

I know how it feels like I had over 150+ guppies in a 55 Gallon all sizes (including like 50 fry) Its great cause my guppies don't eat their fry. I love seeing a large amount of ONE species.

I'll b honest....its beautiful. Arn't all tetras fin nippers, somewhat? I remember reading how they have exactly the same amount of teeth as a piranha, makes sense, they are all in the same family.

Wow the tanks are very nice, but what would I do with the 55 gallon? I must admit, the dimensions are pretty bad for a planted aquarium. The lights are very nice aswell, especially the lunar light and it fits 4 fluorescent tubes, I might get that one instead of Coralife. Thanks for the opinions...

How are the fishes doing with the dwarf puffers? I'm thinking the fin nipping will not be a problem becuase of the size of the tank. BTW I love the cories.

Yup, and another advantage is that you can always monitor it so you will know when something is wrong right away. For less then $10 ea, i might give em a try. they look pretty nice too.

I've personally been a huge fan of cories and have owned more then 70 adult cories. Its happened to me before but it was because of the substrate, kind to share what substrate you are using for the lil guys?
