Have you read the latest (July 2008) issue of PFK? There is an article in there about aquascaping with raised sections that they cover in moss, moisture loving ferns, hairgrass (which is semi-submersible) and they also add small branch like pieces of wood to look like exposed roots in a river bank.

Worth a read. :good:

Pffffttttt I cancelled my Sub to that Magazine a long time ago. its going the way of the dinosuar ATM.

 Ok well let me know if you want me to scan that particular article.

Or you could just search 'Wabi Kusa', the new concept involving taking ideas from nature and using them to create a natural-looking raised section. That's basically what the article is about.

I have planted alot of real plants and ferns, but they are the little 90p ones from the garden centre. and also some real ivy and other climbing plants. Once they are established i shall remove the SILK ivy.(Not Plastic) . I have planted a few pothos aswell but can't ne seen yet.

Silk, plastic, it is the same to me. FAKE plants, better?! Are they watered from the Paludarium or the tank in some way, or do you water them separate?

llj

She's happy today as the proceeds from the tank sales are going to her, for a New Handcrafted Set of Pure 24K Gold Set.

nothing really happened this week.

oh wait yes something did happen,

The Wife Happened.

She whacked a ladder into the tank and theres now a
HUGE CRACK on the end side of the tank. from the middle top section all the way diagonally into the bottom left corner of the tank.

i have duck taped it for now and it seems to be holding up. will have to take a sliding panel from the other tank and half it and make braces to support it.
God the ******* woman, i nearly had a heart attack.

ooops 50%??? that would be me...errr her! out of there! loljust kidding.

thats a shocker mate!thats some enormous pressure pushing on the tank wall too. you dont want that monster to burst
