Filteration For A 130 Gallon.

It won't touch the Eheims filteration capabilities, but the extra is better than no second filter to help. :good:

I'm guessing its like this:

XP3 < Ehiem 2028
XP4 = 2028 (but XP4 has some problems)

? I will NOT pay $600 for 2 filters.

I really don't know what to do. I think I will return the XP4 for now. I have no idea if the 2028 and XP3 can reach my standards for water clarity.

Would a single Fluval FX5 be the better option?

The 2028 and the XP3 would IMO be better than a FluvalFX5, as your proposed twin filter combination offers a redundancy against failures. The FX5 is unporoven remember, earlyer than expected failures of this piece of hardware are not yet out of the question. For now, I'd go with an XP3 and a 2028 :good: If you can save for a while for two 2080's then that would be better, but the combination of Eheim and Rena is a good compromise :nod: The FX5 is a riskier option as of yet, especially considering Fluvals track record, or more to the point lack thereof.....

Pretty much sums it up then, thanks man.

I'll grab an XP3 tmr.

EDIT: Sry lol but would 2 2026s be better then XP3 + 2028?
