You could put some activated carbon in your filter and do a 50% water change. Then you could start treatment with the new med. Good luck. :)

Thank you very much. I'll try experimenting. However, how can you remove unfertilized eggs that are stuck to fertilized ones without damaging the fertilized ones? There are a few unfertilized eggs that are stuck to fertile ones, and I tried to remove them, but almost ripped apart the fertilized...

Well, she may have aborted them. They can easily do that if stressed in any kind of way. Either way, you'll most likely get fry again.

Thank you. They laid eggs again. Around 150. (That aren't eaten) Do I put the eggs on a thin layer of sand as well? I always have tons of eggs that fungus, like the majority (90%). How do I stop this? I don't have any methelene blue. I once read that by putting a large snail in with the eggs...

Looks nice. Your floor should be able to take that just fine. All together, in my room upstairs, I have around 805 pounds worth of tank. Just in my room, which is pretty small. Nothing bad has happened... Yet :rolleyes: But anyhow, I suggest that if at all possible, you put the tank somewhere...

Glass thermometers are a lot better, since they are not affected by the temperature outside of the tank. They tell you a much more accurate temp, and they are easier to read, IMO. Anyhow, they aren't anymore expensive than the stick on ones - they are both about 2$. Digital thermometers are...

Water stats? We need those to help you. Fin rot is usually caused by bad water quality, and since the only tank mates he has are snails, it's not fin nipping that has brought on the pin holes in his fins.

Probably flukes or something. You often can't see those. I know that as soon as my fish start rubbing against objects in the tank, and there are no visible signs of parasites, it's flukes. Try treating with an anti-parasite med (Jungle parasite clear has never failed for me) and if you use...

Do you have a filter in your tank? And a heater? All bettas need filters and heaters, and you should only change 25% of the water weekly. Can we get a picture?

Have you tried putting something in between the two tanks yet? That will surely stop her from getting full of eggs.

What are the water stats? Is your filter gentle? Is the lump/bulge even when you look at him from the surface, or is it uneven? (ex. Only covers one side of his body) If it is even, and he's bloated on both sides, it may be constipation or swim bladder disorder. Either way, you can boil a pea...

I've housed BN plecs, corydoras, guppies, platys, swordtails, mollies, fry, and kribs with my bettas without any problems. Though I can swear that some of those fry that were there the day before aren't there anymore....? :/ .... :sly: ;) :lol: Just kidding. I have an extremely gentle male...

I agree with Nobody of the Goat, but it really depends on how big your tank is.
