than my clown loach pecking at my fingers whilst syphoning!

Felt like a right idiot, can't believe how confident they are though. My dad has kept clown loach for 10 years and his still hide whenever he walks in the room!

He's always amazed at how mine are out all of the time and whizzing about happily without a care in the world

Must be doing something right

my mollys do the same! if you cup your hand theyll swim into it and almost let you lift them out of the water before they wizz out and start pecking at your fingers again, quite funny really

it feels really weird doesn't it. i nearly wet myself when my krib first did it.

Only fish I've ever had nibble before was a red tail shark, but that was more of a gentle nibble rather than a big clicky peck

My clown loaches will come right up to the top and eat out of my hand (I think they have learnt that if they don't the platys will take it all!). It feels quite weird - they have no teeth but there is quite a bit of power! They do tend to hide when I am cleaning though.

I imagine it comes down to their personality and how secure they feel. Ironically, if there are not enough hiding places for them they tend to hide more. If there are lots of places to hide they feel more confident and therefore use them less.

Aww bless

My livebearer fry use to nibble my hands when i did w/c's,my corys are nuts, they dont nibble me,but they hang around the syphon and wait for me to turn the sand over,i keep telling them they'll get sucked up one of these days

I got a fright the other day when my male BN tried to eat the algae from my arm. I used to have a female betta which pulled a scab off my arm once.

my bronze cory does the same!

Yeah, my mollies peck me all the time. It tickles! Pretty cool though that they are that comfortable when I put my hand in there. I have no doubt I could probably catch them with my hand without any difficulty. My fry are very comfortable as well. Especially since they've never been out of the tank. My corys are new so they are still a little skittish.

my African Clawed Frogs, being the pigs they are, are well trained to eat out of my hand....trouble is, they find my fingers just as interesting as the worms!!! so between their big toothless mouths gumming at me, and their little hands grabbing me...it is quite an experience haha

My female Phoenix in particular is known for latching onto my pinky....feels so weirrrrd! Because their mouths are more "mouth" shaped if you know what I mean, it feels strangely......human haha

my corys do the same, but i did actually suck one of my peppered corys up, well just his head, i panicked, took the siphon out of the water to release him, it didnt, 2 secs thinking time and i put it back in and held the other end up in the air. he got his head free and all is well :good: bloody scary tho!

all my female bettas do it! all 10 of em lol they actually stalk me round the tank to try and eat me!

 The day that my corys come near my hand, I'll get my parents to buy a lottery ticket. ;) Those guys are so skittish.

But man, when my male krib pecks at my hand while protecting his eggs, it's a shock! But maintenance needs to be done. ;)

haha my honey gourami likes to nibble and even chase my hand whenever I stick my hand inside.

My worse nippers are the angels, they tend to go for the soft skin under my arm just above the elbow, not exactly painfull just pinches. The Texas are the worse at feeding time they now can draw blood (but its accidental) My scariest was when Jethro my big plec started sucking on my arm, I dont know why I expected to see big red marks (like a leech or something  ) now he just does it all the time and its really nice.
