Bio-wheel Filter

They will if the water level isn't right up to the filter overflow. If it is then it might be sucking a bit of air in through the intake.

    30 Gallon Stocking

Yes, rummynoses will be fine. Actually about 80% of the common tetras will be fine at that temp. Oh, and don't worry if they don't eat for a few days. Healthy fish can go more than a week without eating.

Huge Bubbles At Top Of Tank

Those are just regular air bubbles, forming from the out flow of your hob. They are just a bunch of little bubbles forming bigger bubbles.

    New Fish Didnt Eat Tonight

New fish will often go off their feed for a few days. No need to worry, as a healthy fish can easily go 2-3 weeks without eating. Another possibility would be an insufficient number of fish in the shoal. Tetras do best in a shoal of at least 6 fish, so you may need to add a couple more to the group.

    30 Gallon Stocking

What are the water parameters? Rams in general are pretty shy, you may need to add some either fish, to get them more active.

    Tank-mates For A Betta In A 30l Aquarium?

All the small shrimp will be ok. You can mix them, but there is the chance of hybrids when they reproduce. Chili rasboras are also called dwarf or mosquito rasboras. Here's a link to some info on them... http://www.seriouslyfish.com/species/boraras-maculatus/

    Gbr Compatibilty

Any of the sharks are going to be too aggressive for the fish you want. I know people mix rams and angels, I've done it myself, but angels really are happier at lower temps. If you do keep it at 80°F, it should work. That's the high end for angels and the low for rams. If we stick with your...

Changing From Gravel To Sand, Should I Add A Subtrate?

You can add fertilizer tabs into the sand near your swords and crypts. I wouldn't leave any mulm behind, as it may end up causing more damage than good. Trapped under the sand, it will become anoxic and create hydrogen sulfide gas. If this escapes into the water column it could kill your fish.

Betta And Bloodfin Tetras Or White Clouds In 10 Gallon?

I would suggest 6-8 harlequin rasboras or 10-12 chili rasboras. White clouds are cool water fish, and though they will live at tropical temps, they won't live their full lifespan. The bloodfins get to large for a 10gal really and might be a little nippy.

    Tank-mates For A Betta In A 30l Aquarium?

Cherry shrimp eat decaying plant matter and algae. Eventually you could have 6 or so with your Betta. As for fish, 6 harlequin rasboras would work well, or an even better choice would be chili rasboras.

    Any Benefits Of Purple Lighting?

The purple light is for bringing out the colors of the fish. Don't leave it on at night. Moon lights are small l.e.d's in either blue or white that you would leave on at night.

    New Fish!

    Rummynoses would be nice.

    Gbr Compatibilty

Sajica and angels like it cooler. The best cory would be sterbai. If it were me, I'd do something like this... 1-pair rams 1-trio bn plecos 1m/2f 10-15 cardinals or rummynose tetras 6-8 sterbai cories 6-12 pencilfish or hatchetfish Lots of variety and fish at all levels, but nothing to keep...

It's always best to order cichlids by their scientific name. Common names are useless in most cases.

I use aqueon or zoomed flakes. I don't know if these are available in the UK though.

    Silver Dollar Tank Size?

Depends on the species. Some stay under 4" and 6 would be fine in a 4' 55gal. Others get over a foot and would need a 10' tank to be comfortable.

Does My Tank Have Enough Hiding Spots?

A piece of bogwood, real or fake, and more plants, would be my suggestion. What type of paradise fish were you thinking of keeping and what size is your aquarium?

    Alternative To Rams.

Your cories would be fine at the higher temps, but you'd do best to replace the neons with cardinal tetras. Both the cardinals and sterbai are recommended as discus companions.

    Rocks, Sticks & Stuff!

The best way to attach plants to wood or rocks, is with green or black cotton thread. The plants will attach to the substrate and the thread will slowly dissolve over time.

How To Get My Shrimp Out Of Hiding?

Is it one of the small shrimp, or a crayfish? The small shrimp do best in groups, whereas the crayfish like to hide and will dig a burrow to hide in.

    Shoaling Fish With Multiple Variants

There are several varieties of neon tetras. Regular, diamond, pink and albino. Even with a group of 10 - 15 there is room for more fish, a couple of center piece fish, such as gouramis and a small shoal of bottom feeders, like cories or small loaches and a small algae eater, would make a nice...

Best And Quickest Way To Clean My Filter Hoses.

If mine get that bad, I put them in a bucket of hot water with a couple of cups of white vinegar . After a short soak I add a powerhead to one end and blow them out. Once clean, I just rinse them really well.

    Odessa Barbs

Generally peaceful with others and each other, though I wouldn't tempt them with things like angels, guppies or Bettas.

    Are Garden Hoses Aquarium Safe?

I've used garden hoses since the late 80's, so I'll say they are safe. As for adding prime, yes just add it with the filters off. I add it when I'm done filling the tank, others add half at the beginning the rest when done.
