well, lucky for me i tested the water again and everything was fine this time so i guess the test i did was wrong :cool: thank goodness! but i did a small water change anyway i havent done one sense upgradeing. and added another power head for better circulation. thanks for all the help guys...

help my nitrate is at 140 ammonia o.o nitrite .25 wide range ph 7.8 what should i do? a water change? or will it just naturaly go down sense everything elece is with in safe range?

i dont know much about freshwater fish but it sounds like alot of fish for a 55gl tank. i should be an inch of fish per gallon i think. it's much less for marine.

went to my local petsmart this weekend looking for lighting and they actually have very nice tanks not to over crouded that goodness. but i only go there for suppulys. heard to may bad things about petsmart.

that should not have happoned. because there is not enough salt in sink water to raise the pointer. you would not beleave how much salt is in marine water i think it is like 1cup per gallon. and 1.026 is about perfect. Start adding salt to your water untill your specific gravity is 1.026 it...

your specific gravity should be 1.026. if your's is reading anything under that you need to bring it up buy adding salt. do you have fish yet? anything in your tank? if your sink water is reading that high something is wrong. try rinsing out your hydrometer and trying it again.always rinse...

my coralife hydrometer only cost 12.00. i have been useing it for 2 1/2 yrs now i havent had a problem. some people use the more expensive ones but they dont sell those around here so i go with what i know.

i had a prob with brown alge when my bulbs went bad. mabie you should make sure you have the right lighting. How old are your bulbs?
