Well I suggested a shoal (maybe 6) of pygmy cory. There are not many fish you can put with a Betta and ideally they should be alone. I suggested the cory as I had this set up years ago and it worked fine

What filtration do you have running. Test the water and include all the results This will be a far better inquiry than how many more fish you can get, environment is everything

I spent some time just watching the tank to see if I could work out who the culprit is. The 2 bigger Fronts paid her no attention whatsoever even if she swam right by. The Neolamprologus Tretocephalus and the Hap gave her the odd 1 second chase but no more than all cichlids do from time to time...

Just a thought, please make sure that the heater is unreachable by the chickens as they could crack the glass. Tip. there are aquarium heaters that are made from aluminium, there are also guards available for the glass ones.
