ive got 3 of these in my 5ft tank, they're bout 6inches long, ive been told to get rid of them, what are peoples views on these fishes? sometimes they do go abit mental and just go crazy and start bashing into everything - im sure this is causing stress to my other fishes

ive got a 5ft tank and had the set-up for about 4 years now, results were: NO-2 Fresh & saltwater nitrate = 0 NH3/NH+4 ammonia = 0 NO-3 Nitrate = 40 PH range = 7.8 are these ok? ive got 6 angel fish, 1 silver shark, 3 paroon sharks, 5 flying fox and 1 red tail shark thanks

when they first went in the angel did try but i think slowly they're not bothered anymore, im going to do the test later on and see what readings i get

update: had the apple snails for around a week now n they dont seem to be doing anything to the algae :-( really upset, i got plants in my tank n ive i got a pleco believe they will eat the plants? is it better for me to get some of the other algae eating snails that wont eat plants? thanks

the reason i brought them is that i thought they were good algea cleaners? my tanks got bad algea on the bogwoods - green algea - was thinking of getting shrimps but not sure if my silver shark will disburb or try eating the shrimps? any ideas thanks

thanks for that. ive decided that im gona get a new heater as the one i have has alot of crap stuck on the heater n ive tried to take it off but it doesnt want to come off - maybe this is what is affecting it, my question is what Watts one will i need for a 5ft tank 400 litres?

guys ive got a juwel fish tank, im not sure how to set the temperature on it - which way is min or max ive got a picture of the heater but not sure how to insert it?
