around a week, yeah the mouth comes out loads and the polyps puff up when its feeding. fed it a lancefish earlier and i was amazed by how much it could raise itself and open its mouth to eat the fish. seems to pull itself in when you go near it too.

bought this fella last week but didnt notice he had a damaged mouth in the lfs so took him back. the dartfish hid constantly while it was in my tank.

heres mine, likes to mingle with his tankmates, 2 clowns a chromi and a wrasse. i put a blennie in last week and it disappeared until i removed it. the blennie had a damaged mouth that i didnt notice in the lfs. probably for the best that i took him back.

Puddingwife wrasse... this one was swiftly returned to the shop after finding out they get pretty big. shame as i really liked it. My six line wrasse... easily my favourite fish, full of character.

yeah, its very very easy, 2 clips/brackets per tube each using 2 screws to attach them. clip the tubes into the brackets when youv screwed them to the lid. attach the push fit cables either end of the tubes, plug it in and away you go. the only thing you could do wrong is attach the cables...

sounds like it, the t8's are an inch across (25cm) whereas the t5s are 5/8 inch (15cm) roughly. mine had t8's but i just fitted a hagen glo twin t5 unit to the hood. easy job if you want more light, check my journal. harry has done it too. its a lot cheaper than buying the £70 plus juwel t5...

well i found out what the fish was and it turns out it was a puddingwife wrasse... they grow to over a foot in length and weigh in at around 5lbs when grown :blink: i spent ages earlier dismantling my tank trying to catch it. finally caught it after it accidently swam into the net lol...

yup lol, should have done a bit of research before buying but i just took the shops word for it, they said its pretty tame and shouldnt be a problem with whats in the tank already. time will tell :) its currently buried itself deep in the gravel which is the behaviour of a wrasse from what iv read.
