woo hoo was watching the tank as normal tonight and what pops out from a hiding place, a peper cory baby. its between 5-10mm long, gosh i wonder how many more there are. be hard to see as my tank is planted with lots of hiding places. BUT WOO HOO again.

I also have your problem, you could splice in an inline dimmer switch and manually dim it for a time before switch off. Or fit another light, lower wattage bulb or leds. Running both lights on seperate timers having the duller lamp coming on for a breaf time before the main lamp switches off...

the cory on the right is actuall the largest of the 4 and i beleave to b the female. they have come on soo well over the past few months. i had gravel to begin but later changed to sand for my corys. i love to watch them buldose their way round the tank. ive new pics in the members section...

Well 2 months on and the tank is thriving and fully cycled at last (must of been something funny with the original filter). Well as the pics will show the java fern has really took off well and filled out alot also the mystreous broad leaved plant has grown big and strong also the girlfrinends...

Ive had this plant for a few months now and slowly it grew big enough for me to split and now has really done well, lovely full leaves and strong stems. But i just dont know what is. thanks neil.

Woo Hoo my peppered corries have been doing the whole breeding thing and i even found a few eggs stuck to the glass beside where they like to hide out the most. Unfortunatly the eggs have been there for a couple of days and seem empty. At least its a sign there hgappy enough to breed. :good:

Thanks all for the comments. Got new pics tonight looks soo much better now the waters cleared, plus franko my betta has claimed a corner under a few over hanging leaves and now makes his bubble nest there. Well tries to as hes not really good at them. I'll get the new pics up in a day or two...

thought id post up a pic of the tank before i rip it apart and start fresh. Its a tetratec 60l with tetra heater/filter and 15w t8 light in the hood. i like the current look of the tank but still want the "less is more" look.
