I avoid scientific like it's a leper colony - its too confusing. We betta people aren't that crazy o.o we just think they're awesomes with their personalities! Each and every one is different!

No plastic plants - I can't tell you how many bettas I've known/seen who have had fins shredded by them! Go with silk or live plants

Yes, a Lid is a must! And you must cover ALL holes! Even the smallest one is workable!

They need at least 5 gallons IMO, and need a heater. They need a filter with a slow current. They have such great characters, and all are different! Thanks! I love their colors too! I can't wait for them to get here!
