Khuli eggs are definately green. Don't know if any cory eggs are green as my various cory's only have white or cream eggs.

Have you considered the Red Phantom Tetra, quite similar to the Serpae Tetra but are excellent community fish and don't have the Serpae aggression.

Hi BigC, The Hastatus is the cory that mostly swims mid water. I have Habrosus, these are great little fish and mostly stay on the bottom of the tank.

I have corys including Habrosus, which are tiny, with a pair of Honey's and they don't bother them. Never kept Pearl's though so not sure about them.

Hi, Are you sure they are not just young Harlequins as when i got my young ones they had a silvery sheen to them but as they grew they took on the colour of the adults. Purple Harlequins is also another name for the normal Harlequin Rasbora. Here's a link to the three rasboras with the hockey...

I've just managed to get nine up to 12 weeks old, have kept three to go with my seven adults and took the others to the lfs. I lost some of the fry early on as they don't seem as hardy as the Trilineatus which were breeding at the same time.

I don't have pygmaeus but have Habrosus which are a similar size. I have Lemon and Red Phantom Tetras as well as Honey Gourami's with them and they seem happiest playing out in the open at the front of the tank despite it being well planted, so getting some small Tetra, like Embers might help...

Agree with Frank, the one in the centre is a Habrosus, the one on the left looks like a Hastatus, http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/image.php?species=corydoras+hastatus&image_id=6231 , the one on the right could be another Habrosus, although it's a lot paler but the markings are similar :good:

Just noticed that some of my fry were swimming at the top of the fry tank as if the were trying to get air, some were upside down, and some were clearly dying. They are between four and six weeks old and have been in the fry tank for three weeks with no problems. I did my usual water change...

Loads of tetras seem to have two or three names depending on what country they are sold in or even what the LFS is told what they are by the supplier, best to go with the latin name as that usually doesn't change. Theirs a good list of Tetras by The-Wolf on this forum...

Thanks for the quick reply. How big should the water changes be, is it better to give them fresh water at the water change or from the parent tank. Do i need to buy a small filter for the tank or are the water changes sufficient, thanks again.

Hi, Don't think that fish is a Black Skirt Tetra. It looks very like a Flame Tetra,(Hyphessobrycon flammeus). It's sometimes called a Fire Tetra or a Von Rio Tetra, Hope that helps, :good:

Could it have been a Paracheirodon simulans ? Common names are Green Neon Tetra or False Neon Tetra, :good:

Your fish looks like a Bentos Tetra,(Hyphessobrycon bentosi), Other names it is known by are, - White Tip Tetra, False Rosy Tetra,and Ornate Tetra. Bleeding heart tetras have got a black tip on the dorsal fin, hope this helps, :good:

Hi, Thanks for the reply.It became cloudy not long after the fish were added, around three weeks. Have been doing regular large water changes to no avail, fish seem fine though.
